SO GOOD. Also, SO MUCH BETTER than I thought it would be. I kept bracing myself for gross, vaguely misogynistic humor and there was… none? And for an old man dominated movie about late-life crisis, all the female characters were actually… pretty cool? And the movie was actually funny! And aged-up Kevin Kline remains very foine to this day.
-August: Osage County
Why was everyone saying this movie stunk? This movie RULED. Everyone who hated this movie has bad taste. Everyone (New York Times)!
I’ve been wanting to see this movie FOREVER and finally did and GUESS WHAT- also loved it. Obviously some parts were dumb, that’s horror movies for you, but it was genuinely well-directed, and tense. I am PSYCHED for the sequel.
-The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
LOL I’ve seen this before and own the DVD. But whatever I love and will watch constantly.
The music cues in this movie were… SO BAD. Otherwise it was okay.
First up in our month devoted to movies about Sexy Schemes is the classic, the OG, the beginning and the end of sexy scheme movies…. CRUEL INTENTIONS.
